TÜRKİYE ALEGORİSİ OLARAK 995 KM ROMANI: FAİLİ MEÇHULLER TARİHİ

ÖZ. Murathan Mungan, 1980 sonrası modern Türk edebiyatına önemli etkilerde bulunmuş bir yazardır. Mungan tiyatro, deneme, öykü, roman gibi pek çok farklı türde eserler vermiştir. Romanlarında, bireylerin iç dünyası ve yalnızlığı, toplumsal cinsiyet, erkeklik gibi farklı temalara odaklanan Mungan, ele aldığı konular bağlamında siyasete değinse de hiçbir romanında doğrudan siyaseti temel almamıştır. 995 km ise yazarın ana odağının siyaset olduğu, siyaseti de faili meçhul cinayetler üzerinden ele aldığı bir dönem romanıdır. Eleştirmenlerin çoğu tarafından kara polisiye ya da politik roman olarak değerlendirilen eser, Türkiye’nin 1990’lı yıllarından yola çıkarak faili meçhul cinayetler, derin devlet, Hizbullah gibi dönemin siyasi konjonktüründe yer edinen temel meselelere odaklanmaktadır. Mungan, bu eserinde edebiyatın yansıtma işlevinden yola çıkarak okuyuculara dönemin gerçekliklerini hatırlatmak istemiştir. Eserinde Doğu ve Batı arasındaki hakikat evreninin farklılıklarına da işaret eden Mungan, Doğu’da yaşanan olayları bu farklılıkları temel alarak işler. Bu çalışmada, Mungan’ın doğrudan politik gerçekliğe dayanan ilk eseri olan 995 km romanında hatırlattıkları, siyasi çerçeveden hareketle ele alınmaktadır.

THE NOVEL 995 KM AS AN ALLEGORY OF TÜRKİYE: HISTORY OF UNSOLVED MURDERS

ABSTRACT. Murathan Mungan is a writer who has had a significant impact on modern Turkish literature since 1980. Mungan has produced works in many different genres such as theatre, essays, short stories and novels. In his novels, Mungan focuses on various themes such as the inner world and loneliness of the individual, gender, masculinity, and although he touches on politics in the context of the themes he deals with, he does not use politics as a direct basis in any of his novels. 995 km is a contemporary novel in which the author's main focus is on politics, and he deals with politics through unsolved murders. Considered by most critics to be a crime noir or a political novel, the work is set in Turkey in the 1990s and focuses on the main themes of unsolved murders, the deep state and Hezbollah, which were part of the political conjuncture of the time. In this work, Mungan wanted to remind readers of the realities of the period, based on the reflective function of literature. In his work, Mungan also points out the differences in the universe of truth between the East and the West, and deals with the events in the East on the basis of these differences. In this study, the realities that Mungan recalls in his novel 995 km, which is his first work directly based on political realism, are analysed from a political point of view.
