ANTROPOSEN VE BELLEK ÇALIŞMALARI: “İNSANI SAVUNMAK”

ÖZ. Antroposen evreninde belleğin krizi ve ekolojinin krizini birlikte düşünmenin; bunu yeni özneleşme biçimlerine, toplumsal eyleme imkanlarına ve farklı politik projeksiyonlara uyarlamanın yolları neler olabilir? Bu çalışma öncelikle yekpare bir Antroposen tanımının olmadığının altını çizerek; farklı yaklaşımlar ve kuramsal dayanakları ele almanın eleştirel bir zemin için önemine vurgu yapmaktadır. Antroposen’in farklı milatlarının, adlandırmalarının yaslandığı düşünsel ve politik hatların izini sürerek; bellek çalışmalarının sahip olduğu tüm modernite bagajlarının (hem zamansallık, mekânsallık gibi kökensel hem de kolektif, sorumluluk gibi toplumsal) dönüşümünü, yeni bir İnsan tasarımı öneren Antroposen’in postmodernist ilmeklerini çözümleyerek tartışmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Antroposen, bellek ve postmodernizm üçlemesini Bernard Stiegler’in teknik kavrayışı ve metodolojik yönelimlerinin eleştirisiyle incelemekte; belleğin günümüzdeki politik kapasitesini ve taşıdığı potansiyelleri tartışmaya açmaktadır.

ANTHROPOCENE AND MEMORY STUDIES: “DEFENDING THE HUMAN”

ABSTRACT. What are the ways to consider the crisis of memory and the crisis of ecology together in the Anthropocene universe, adapting this to new forms of subjectivation, opportunities for social action, and diverse political projections? This study emphasizes the lack of a single, unified definition of the Anthropocene and the importance of considering diverse approaches and theoretical underpinnings for a critical foundation. It traces the intellectual and political strands underlying the various milestones and designations of the Anthropocene, and discusses the transformation of all the baggage of modernity (both originary, such as temporality and spatiality, and social, such as collective and responsibility) that memory studies carry, by analyzing the postmodernist threads of the Anthropocene that propose a new conception of the human. This study examines the trilogy of the Anthropocene, memory, and postmodernism through a critique of Bernard Stiegler's technical understanding and methodological orientations, and opens up a discussion of the political capacity and potential of memory in our time.
